A very good day to you all. You maybe wondering why I'm uploading such short videos. This one being a mere 18 seconds long. I seem to be inept to upload all the short videos I captured yesterday on my wonderful portable computer in cahoots with my editing software, which only seems to recognize moving images as still. The conclusion is that you will be subjected to many short videos which should have been edited as one, but alas, it wasn't to be. On a more positive note, at least you can nip off to the bathroom, or put on the kettle and you won't miss a thing! Just think too, you can comment on every video, not only the whole thing, which, of course, doesn't exist! Enjoy!

A Little Goes A Long Way!

| Before! |
What do bloggers' do when they're not blogging? I haven't the faintest idea, but I can tell you what I was up to! I bought a house (shock horror fellow boaties!).
This is what it looked like when I first saw the abode. Bleak, run down and not much to write home about and to think I left the boat and moved into this! On top of it all, I grew vegetables on what was once a building site! My landlubbing life had truly begun. After several years of the diversity, working with a tight budget to improve my living and working space, it now resembles something on the right. It is amazing how you can 'tart' up a dwelling with a relatively low budget. Pity the same can't be said about the floating kind!
Although I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the alternative land living, deep down, there has been something desperately missing. Oh the sea has called to me on many occasions. When the wind kicks in from the East I hear the surf crashing upon the golden shore, from my landlubbing bunk, and I'm 12 odd kilometres from the coast.
The calming sea, the sea a tempest. The constantly mutable element which I am akin to, I am simply guilty of neglecting one of my points of joy. My belovéd boat. So now we have entered yet another potential fatalistic year, 2012. We all know that some say it's the end of the world. Ok well fine, each are entitled to their opinion, but fatalists aside swiftly, if you please, for fear of drifting off into a deep slumber with the utter boredom of the concept. If you believe that, then you may as well believe that the teachings of the Catholic church are true and Holier Than Thou. My God, however is the wide open expanse of the Universe, which you can get a little bit excited about all that, when you are floating around upon the Earth's oceans. You have excess time to philosophize and ponder. Believe me, or simply head off on a trans ocean voyage for yourself and you can get some idea of what I'm babbling on about. Suffice it to say Amazonas do Mar are back or SeaAmazons to the latin lacking readers.

There is much to do. I won't harp on, castigating myself gratuitously. Active is the pro word now. Why do people say proactive? Why can't they save on a syllable and be done with it. Preparation and repair of her decks is underway and I'm very excited about it. Roll on Australian Open finals, so I can stop using the Tennis and not the tides as an excuse not to get to the boat!!!
